I started my career as a Career and Higher Education advisor 11 years ago when I moved to the United Arab Emirates. So far, it has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my professional life. While I started my career in higher education, the majority of my career has been spent guiding high school students, where my prior professional experience in higher education came in handy.

“I am proud to stay that the IE Executive MBA program equipped me with the skill-set to successfully deliver on my project”
Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand the interest, passion, and contributions from both male and female educators on a national level in the UAE. This in particular motivated me to pursue a career opportunity where my contribution can be of a similar scale: achieving a country’s vision for its educational sector. It was a goal I was determined to achieve in 2017 when I decided to embark on my IE Executive MBA journey; what I learned through this journey is that without core competencies in operations, project, and financial management, subject matter expertise is not enough to deliver projects of such scale successfully.
I am very proud to say that in January 2019 one month after graduating with my Executive MBA from IE, I started to get approached by leading education management groups in the UAE to deliver a scalable educational project related to Career Guidance and that’s how I arrived to my current position as an Enrichment Program Manager at the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). I was asked to conceptualize and execute a postsecondary preparation course, the Rize University Preparation and Career Guidance (UPCG) Program. The program is one of ADEK’s many strategic initiatives that help secondary school students in the emirate of Abu Dhabi enhance academic skills needed for higher education and explore their career and postsecondary pathways.
As a government initiative of such scale involves delivering and engaging multiple stakeholders, I am proud to stay that the IE Executive MBA program equipped me with the skill-set to successfully deliver on my project.
