SOS COVID-19 is a free platform to facilitate the exchange of aid during the pandemic. I was able to develop it thanks to the collaboration with IE University and other organizations.
Its objective is to ensure that the different needs and initiatives that are emerging in the context of COVID-19 reach the largest number of people possible, in a coordinated and efficient manner, thus improving the ability to mobilize resources and respond.
The platform easily connects help requests from hospitals, nursing homes, NGOs, administration, and other type of organizations, with private and public entities that can fulfil the variety of requests. The solution allows to standardize and streamline the process of requesting help, creating a searchable bottom-up collection of requests and a pool of donors.
It allows creating and searching for urgent requests, bid to participate in those opportunities and post additional help. Once the agreement between the help requestor and the fulfiller has been closed, their contact information is shared privately between them, so they can close the request in the least time possible.
I decided to create this tool under the believe that we can all do something to help surpass the current crisis. I invite you to contribute with your grain of sand, by registering and using it. And if you have any suggestion or want to collaborate please let me know!
