· Business Insider Spain selects 29 women under 35 who are standing out in sectors such as technology, finance, startups, politics or engineering, among others.
These achievements translate into important milestones of research, technological and social development or business performance, as well as helping to make visible cases of female leadership success and to open the way for future generations.
Marta del Olmo — 32 years old
Marta del Olmo works in the Exploration and Production division of Cepsa as a business analyst. This geological engineer also studied a master’s degree in Petroleum Sciences and Reservoir Engineering at the French Petroleum Institute.
During the last 8 years she has designed for Cepsa development plans for the company’s oil and gas fields in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. A stage that has allowed her to live in Paris and Bogotá as well as Madrid. This engineer also worked for Repsol YPF where she worked in the exploration department in the Middle East and Iran.
In 2016 she was granted an exclusive scholarship for women, to study the executive MBA at IE Business School, in which she received the distinction of Beta Gamma Sigma, which recognizes excellence in academic results worldwide. Since then, as well as being a member of Aemener, she is an alumni advisor to the Woman in Business club of IE.
Del Olmo believes that “since the industrial revolution, we have not experienced an era of energy transition as important as the one we are facing now and it is a real challenge and a privilege to be part of it“.
