Monica is a current Master’s in Management candidate at IE Business School, with a Digital Business specialization. She has a background in Industrial Design, having graduated as Cum Laude from the most important Architecture and Design School in Panama City. She has professional experience in both design and business fields, bringing a cross-disciplinary mindset when facing business-related scenarios through the eyes of a designer. She first started her professional experience in a luxury-brand design firm in Barcelona, Sotano Studio, working as part of the merchandise design team for Salvatore Ferragamo’s perfume lines. Then, she ventured as a Strategy Consultant in Phocus Brand and Innovation, a branding firm in Panama City, managing several consulting projects for a few the most important brands from Panama and the region in a wide array of industries such as utilities, IT, telecommunications, retail, logistics and real estate. She has gained a multi-cultural mindset through various international experiences, such as an educational exchange at the University of Texas at Austin (United States) and a professional neuro-branding project in Guangzhou (China) that have brought her a deeper understanding of the global scope of business and society for today and the future.
