What was the main reason you decided to study at IE?
What first attracted me to IE was its focus on entrepreneurship and diversity. Throughout the application process, I had a good feeling about IE. Ultimately, I decided to study at IE because I believed in the IE Brown Executive MBA program and was excited about being one of its pioneers.
What was the greatest challenge you faced during your studies?
Our team encountered various challenges with the composition of our team. In the words of one of our professors – we were decimated. But we overcame our challenges and the experience made the group work together even better.
What has been the primary lesson you learned during your program?
The entire experience – learning from teachers and classmates in the classroom and the online forums, the challenge our group encountered, the financial investment, and even travelling alone (I got lost in Providence once!) made me dig deep. From all these experiences I gained more confidence and found my voice.
How has this program impacted your life?
I think I am a better person because of the program. What I’ve learned I am able to apply to my work in impact investing and incubating social enterprises. The program has also had a positive financial impact. And most importantly, I made life-long friends with some amazing people.
What was the best memory you have from the program?
It’s so hard to pick one! Graduating at Segovia was pretty special but it’s a bittersweet memory. I still can’t believe we finished the program almost five years ago. It all still seems like yesterday.
