1. What was the main reason you decided to study at IE?
IE is one of Europe’s most successful and well-reputed higher education institutions. Finance programs are also amongst the best in Spain and Europe. IE focuses on practice and real-life cases and high-quality professors combining teaching capabilities with experience in the private sector.
Lastly, the marvelous campus in the Madrid city center is easily accessible and has extensive facilities available where you can work during the program.
- What was the greatest challenge you faced during your studies?
To manage time to deal with commitment at work, at home and with the master. The workload is intensive both during class and outside the classroom. Teamwork, although it encourages you to leave your comfort zone, requires coordination and additional time. However, in spite of all that, we always found the time for a beer with classmates and to relax.
- What has been the primary lesson you learned during your program?
The importance of working with and listening to people with different perspectives. It allows you to enrich your knowledge, to become more open-minded and to realize that, together as a team, you can reach greater heights than working alone.
- How has this program impacted your life?
Six months after completing my master, I moved to Paris to work for the same entity. Thanks to the IE France Club, I met a lot of new, interesting people from different IE programs and also from other top- ranking schools in France. It really helped me with my integration in France!
IE has also allowed me to make great friends during the program, with friendships lasting even after I moved to France.
- What was the best memory you have from the program?
Of course…the graduation day! Passing the master after 11 months of intensive effort and stress.
But also many of the moments of teamwork, especially one night working in a group altogether, each of us providing a contribution to finish the work with good humor and spirit.
